As hard as it is to believe that we are halfway through November, the calendar doesn’t lie. And so, as usual at this time of year, James, Jeff and I put our heads together and brainstormed menus for all the events that come with the holiday season. New Year’s Eve menus are in the works, the annual inn tour nibbles have been decided, and the selections for one of our most anticipated traditions – holiday tea – has been composed.
This year, we keep some crowd favorites like sausage rolls and cheese crisps, but we’re adding several new tea sandwiches to our repertoire including smoked turkey with cranberry cream cheese and spinach and my personal favorite, crab salad with bacon and Gruyere in phyllo cups.
Holiday tea service starts Sunday, November 27th and is served in our festively decorated dining room with traditional English crackers. For parties of six or less, tea seatings are between 3:00 and 4:30 and are $20/person and for larger groups, the dining room is available for private parties from 12:00 to 2:30 and the price is $23/person. Prices do not include tax or gratuity and advance reservations are required. Wine, beer, and bubbly is also available for an additional charge.
